DESIGN DEVELOPMENT & MODEL MAKING

From Artistic Intent to Production-Ready Models.

We help artists, designers, and project teams develop ideas through technical drawing, digital visualization, 3D modeling, and physical model making—resolving form, scale, structure, materials, and installation requirements before fabrication begins.

OVERVIEW

Multiple Ways to Develop an Artwork for Production.

WHAT IT IS

Design development and model making combine digital and hands-on methods to turn an artistic concept into reliable information for production. Depending on the project, this may involve technical drawings, renderings, 3D modeling, VR review, 3D scanning and printing, clay or plaster modeling, hand carving and shaping, CNC machining, or robotic milling.

BEST SUITED FOR

Projects beginning with a sketch, maquette, digital file, or existing object; artworks that need to be enlarged, adapted, divided, structurally resolved, or coordinated with an architectural setting and installation conditions; and commissions requiring both artistic interpretation and production planning.

HOW WE SUPPORT THE WORK

Support from the First Idea to a Production-Ready Model.

Our role is not to impose a fixed workflow, but to select and combine the methods that best preserve the artwork while preparing it for production.

01

Interpreting and Developing the Artwork

We work from sketches, reference images, maquettes, digital files, or existing works to clarify form, proportion, surface character, and the intended viewing experience.
02

Resolving Scale, Structure, and Interfaces

We consider dimensions, enlargement, sectioning, internal support, assembly points, materials, architectural interfaces, and installation requirements before fabrication begins.
03

Selecting the Right Development Method

Technical drawing, digital modeling and visualization, physical model making, 3D scanning, CNC machining, robotic milling, and 3D printing can be combined as needed to support the artwork and its production path.
