Our practice
We want the experience gained through making to become knowledge that others can read, discuss and use. Zheng Dongping’s continuing research has led to two books on bronze art and casting technology. Reading events, academic exchange and visits from artists also give us opportunities to explain our work and listen to questions from different perspectives.

Bringing workshop experience into books
We use publications to organise research into bronze art and making. Chinese Bronze Art Studies appeared in 2022, followed by Studies in Chinese Bronze Casting Technology in 2024, both published by Anhui Fine Arts Publishing House.
Opening the research to discussion
Reading events and research exchange allow us to discuss our publications and practical questions. Conversations with readers and learners offer fresh perspectives on familiar workshop experience.
