A research-based reconstruction of the Chen Zhang Hu, developed by Xinjiuding through intermittent study and reconstruction work from 2009 to 2026.
This project was developed in response to the artistic, spatial, and technical requirements of the site. The work combines sculptural form, material expression, and its relationship with the surrounding environment.
Xinjiuding participated in the production process according to the agreed scope, supporting the translation of the original concept into a completed metal artwork.
This project is a modern, research-based reconstruction of the Chen Zhang Hu produced by Xinjiuding. Study and reconstruction work was carried out intermittently from 2009 to 2026, with the goal of interpreting the vessel’s form and casting challenges without presenting the reconstruction as an ancient original.
