
A comprehensive conservation project for the Padmasambhava Hall at Mount Wutai, completed between 2013 and 2016 using traditional craftsmanship and digitally assisted restoration methods.
This project was developed in response to the artistic, spatial, and technical requirements of the site. The work combines sculptural form, material expression, and its relationship with the surrounding environment.
Xinjiuding participated in the production process according to the agreed scope, supporting the translation of the original concept into a completed metal artwork.
Completed between 2013 and 2016, this project involved the conservation and restoration of the Padmasambhava Hall at Mount Wutai in Shanxi. The shrine, carved columns, painted backdrop, Buddhist figures, and ritual objects were treated as an integrated sacred interior, requiring careful coordination between architectural elements, sculptural details, metalwork, gilding, and polychrome decoration.
