An eight-piece copper desk set that adapts ancient Chinese bronze forms and motifs for calligraphy and painting.
This project was developed in response to the artistic, spatial, and technical requirements of the site. The work combines sculptural form, material expression, and its relationship with the surrounding environment.
Xinjiuding participated in the production process according to the agreed scope, supporting the translation of the original concept into a completed metal artwork.
This scholar’s set includes a brush pot, brush rest, brush hanger, paperweight, ink tray, water dropper, brush washer, and seal-paste box. The forms draw from ancient Chinese bronzes, including vessel types such as the zun, yi, and fu, connecting practical desk use with the visual language of bronze culture.
