A brass commemorative sculpture for the Mirador copper mine in Ecuador, combining Chinese and Andean visual references.
This project was developed in response to the artistic, spatial, and technical requirements of the site. The work combines sculptural form, material expression, and its relationship with the surrounding environment.
Xinjiuding participated in the production process according to the agreed scope, supporting the translation of the original concept into a completed metal artwork.
Designed around the idea of the circle as harmony and completeness, this commemorative work combines references to Chinese bi discs and bronze vessels with dragon-pattern linework and an Inca-inspired sunburst. A three-dimensional Mirador mine emblem occupies the center, while bilingual text follows the surrounding circular structure.
