A 2.2-meter gilded brass statue of Thousand-Armed Guanyin, designed and fabricated for a Buddhist setting in Shanghai.
This project was developed in response to the artistic, spatial, and technical requirements of the site. The work combines sculptural form, material expression, and its relationship with the surrounding environment.
Xinjiuding participated in the production process according to the agreed scope, supporting the translation of the original concept into a completed metal artwork.
Created for a Buddhist setting in Shanghai, this 2.2-meter-tall gilded brass statue represents Thousand-Armed Guanyin, the bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara. Its composition draws inspiration from a Yuan dynasty mural of Thousand-Armed Guanyin at the Mogao Caves in Dunhuang, translating the historic visual language into a three-dimensional sculptural form.
