A monumental brass sculpture that joins an arched mass with hollow internal spaces.
This project was developed in response to the artistic, spatial, and technical requirements of the site. The work combines sculptural form, material expression, and its relationship with the surrounding environment.
Xinjiuding participated in the production process according to the agreed scope, supporting the translation of the original concept into a completed metal artwork.
The artist's statement draws on an ancient Greek conception of soul as air and body as water. The work's heavy outer mass and hollow interior bring body, soul, and emptiness into a single sculptural form.
